Julian G. Finley Scholar's Award

Julian G. Finley grew up in the Rosedale area of Birmingham, Alabama and graduated from Homewood High School in 1979.

With permission from Julian G. Finley's family, College Choice Foundation has established the Julian G. Finley Scholar's Award in Julian's memory.

Each December,  a committee will select one of our Scholars to receive this award. The recipient of this award should embody qualities Julian embraced and demonstrated during his lifetime. These characteristics include:

  • Strong moral values

  • Keen intelligence

  • Excellent character

  • Great work ethic

  • Inclusiveness

  • Humility

  • Zeal for life

  • Curiosity

  • Importance of helping others

  • Loyalty

  • Understanding the value of Community

The Scholar selected for this honor will receive a stipend for textbooks.

Julian was an extraordinary man, and College Choice Foundation is honored to be able to carry on his legacy.
